Women of Color is committed to offering emotional support to breast cancer survivors and their families. Our support group meets every 2nd Saturday of the month, 10:00am at the Ladera Community Center, located at 4750 West 62nd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90056.
We believe crisis intervention is critical to the healing process. It is our goal to help relieve the burden of a cancer diagnosis. Through our partnerships and resources, we offer survivors and their families, emergency financial assistance, access to transportation during and after treatment and discount prescription referrals.
We educate on breast health knowledge and knowledge of early detection methods through our Each One Teach One (EOTO) Seminar Program. Check our calendar for upcoming EOTO seminars.
In our effort to support the eradication of breast cancer, our work seeks to effect public policy as it relates to breast cancer and women of color survivors and their families. This includes supporting culturally sensitive research.
